PowerSchool Tips #1

With all of the updates of PowerSchool I thought I would write about some of the things that you can do with PowerSchool that you may not realize you could do.  I am breaking this into different posts so that some tips don't get lost all in one post.

One Less Step to Get Into Gradebook

Instead of choosing Gradebook, click the arrow next to Gradebook.  It will open up gradebook right from there.

Checking Permissions/Weather-related Early Dismissal
When we have E-Registration at the beginning of the year the parents are asked to answer some permission questions.  Some have to do with field trips around town, right to record or take a picture, etc.  You can view how parents answered these questions.

When you log into PowerSchool, click on Extended Data on the left-hand side.

You'll get a screen that looks like the one below.

Permissions - If you click on Permissions for a class it will have you choose which permission you want to check and what response parents made (Denied, Granted, No Response, All)  It will bring up a page matching the information you were looking for.

Early Dismissal - If you click Early Dismissal you will see what parents said to the question on Weather-related Early Dismissals.  If there is nothing written in then it was either not update by parents or they did not put anything in that blank.
