The point of this blog is to share some ideas of how teachers can use technology in the classroom. As I wrote on the top of my blog, some of the tips will help you control your class, while others may be more tips for how students can use technology. My goal is to write down all sorts of ideas to make it easier to use technology in your classroom. Some of the time they may just be simple solutions that I provide and some of you may have already heard of some of the ideas. For those of you, I am sorry. However, I am betting that there will be a lot more that have not heard of these and will find it helpful.
Besides simple ideas I hope to spend more time discussing topics that could be used in more curricular areas than just one. Some ideas will lend themselves to many different uses across a curriculum. Others may seem more specialized so when I show them I plan on giving ways to use them in different types of environments.
I am also hoping on sharing some ideas that are more than just electronic versions of what you are doing currently. For instance, I probably won't discuss things like typing notes in Word instead of writing it by hand. However, I may discuss uses of products like Evernote that allows you the ability to write notes, take pictures of what you are doing to incorporate them into the notes and also record what people are saying so if you are at home trying to remember what they said, you can listen to a recording. It is a step up from just an electronic version of note-taking by just typing in Word.
Hopefully I help some people, or at least I will have an archive of ideas that people can look at online.
